Desde las 7:00 a.m. y hasta las 10:00 a.m. de este lunes en el centro de Cali, específicamente en la Calle 15 sobre las carreras 13 y 15 se presentó una fuerte congestión vehicular y desvíos en las Rutas del MÍO por plantones de dueños de mueblerías de esta zona que serán trasladados en los próximos días.
En el plantón participaron alrededor de 100 personas, quienes con pancartas y arengas denunciaron que la Empresa Municipal de Renovación Urbana, Emru, ha iniciado un proceso arbitrario para hacerse a los predios de mueblerías de la Calle 13, donde se desarrollará el proyecto Ciudad Paraíso.
“Nosotros nos queremos reunir con el Alcalde (Maurice Armitage), porque tanto como los muebleros como los dueños de los talleres de motos sobre la 15 nos queremos quedar en el terreno”, dijo Fernando Pérez Quintero, presidente Junta de Acción Comunal San Pascual.
Sin embargo, Nelson Londoño, gerente de la Emru, indicó que no están expropiando ningún inmueble y que los predios adquiridos han sido producto de una enajenación voluntario de sus propietarios.
“Las personas que se dedican a la fabricación y comercialización de muebles en la Calle 13, que en su gran mayoría son arrendatarios, los propietarios previamente les comunicaron que ya habían cerrado la negociación con nosotros y que entregaran porque ya habían hecho el negocio”, dijo Londoño.
