El conversatorio desarrolla tres ejes que tienen como fien dibujar un panorama amplio de la escena del jazz internacional, con énfasis en la región de la Costa Oeste de los Estados Unidos que representa un importante escenario para el desarrollo del género. El punto de partida será la experiencia entorno al jazz de Grand Performances, en Los Ángeles, como el escenario de programación de artes escénicas más grande del sur de California.
El encuentro se realizará en el marco del Festival Jazz al Parque 2018 los días 22 y 23 de septiembre en Bogotá.
