El presidente de la Comisión de Acusaciones de la Cámara de Representantes, Ricardo Ferro, indicó que se abrió investigación preliminar contra el expresidente de la República, Juan Manuel Santos, por una denuncia que se instauró en su contra.
Según explicó Ferro, la denuncia que fue radicada por un ciudadano, se sustenta en las declaraciones que dio el exsenador y hoy detenido, Bernardo Elias, conocido como el ‘Ñoño’ Elias. En dicha entrevista el dirigente político habría comprometido a Santos de conocer la corrupción que promovió la multinacional brasiñela Odebrecht.
“Se ordenó abrir una investigación preliminar contra el expresidente Juan Manuel Santos por una denuncia que llegó a la Comisión por una nota periodística en donde la periodista Vicky Dávila entrevistó a Bernando ‘Ñoño’ Elias”, señaló Ferro.
Insistió Ferro que es “nuestra obligación que esas denuncias tenemos que darle trámite, primero con una investigación preliminar y si hay lugar a una investigación formal”.
En tal sentido dijo que se decidió citar al detenido exsenador, Elias para el 17 de junio, día en el que asistirá el represente legal del expresidente Santos, como también el agente que represente a la Procuraduría General de la Nación.
Precisó Ferro que no sólo se evaluará investigar al exjefe del estado por el caso Odebrecht, sino también por otros temas que mencionó Elias en la entrevista con la Revista Semana.
